Viva Las Vegas!

I finally made it to Vegas!! Yes, it was for a work conference, but we got there a few days early so there was plenty of time to play. We didn't get wild and crazy, but we went to a show, hung by an AMAZING POOL (which happened to be at Caesars, the hotel we stayed at), saw the fountain show at the Bellagio, shopped and ate.
Gross looking, but funny story: Joan grabbed everyone Subway on the way to the airport. Katie ordered a veggie sub without mayo and pickle. What did she get? A sandwich with ONLY mayo and pickle. Who would want that?!?!
Our room. I wish I had taken a picture of the bathroom. It was amazing!
View from our room. That is the Mirage over there. That's where we went to dinner and a show on Friday night.

Going to see the Beatles LOVE Cirque Du Soleil
The one and only time we gambled ALL WEEKEND. That is Jessica our Art Director and Katie the editor, and my cohorts for the trip. Joan, Gary and Dylan were there too, but they stayed in a different room.
Everything from the entrance to the show were spectacular!

Yummy breakfast crepe and smoothie on Saturday morning at the place below. It was just in the hotel and it was so fancy, schmancy looking.

Saturday was our all day pool day. Seriously, 9:30 am to 3 pm. It was pretty amazing and relaxing. This is the pool we ended up at. I say "this is the pool" b/c at Caesar's there were 9 pools. Yes, NINE. We were glad we grabbed a spot in the back. It was still hopping by the middle of the day but it wasn't so noisy and crazy like the main couple of larger pools.

First pool when you walk outside. You can get up in the little middle area!

One of the towers at our hotel. We actually stayed on the ninth floor of this tower, but looking the other direction.

The main "first" pool is to my back in this photo. And in the photo below I am standing on the little circular deck you can see in the middle of the photo in the pic above.

This was at the beginning of the day. By the end there were people EVERYWHERE!
Looking from that circular deck over to the pool we were at.

"Our" pool. It was called the Apollo

See, it got to be a little more happening throughout the day.
Our hotel lobby. And yes, this is where they filmed the Hangover, apparently Caesar really lived here :)

We went to Serendipity per Ashley's suggestion. She said the Iced Hot Chocolate is the best thing in Vegas. I agree, it was delightful.

The Conservatory inside the Bellagio

Waiting for the fountains at the Bellagio to start. Across the street is Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile Mall. We did a little bit of shopping there.

Here we go...

That's our hotel in the upper-left

The water went SO high!

Jessica and Katie watching the show

I was so surprised that you couldn't see more "down the strip" from our hotel. It wasn't until we went over this bridge on Saturday night that I thought, there is the "Vegas Strip" I expected.

Doing a bit of shopping in The Forum Shoppes connected to our hotel on Sunday night. Yes, we are inside. The photos kind of trickle off now b/c the conference was Sunday and Monday.

Cool fountain in the middle of the shops
I have to post this photo b/c Dylan was serious about not running out of wine during the awards ceremony on Monday night. Last year at CRMA (this conference we were at) we didn't realize you basically had a cocktail hour before the ceremony started, about one glass of wine with dinner and then you sat there for 2 more hours with no alcohol while they gave out the awards. Dylan wasn't messing around and loaded up during the cocktail hour and just held all of these glasses of wine hostage on our table until the ceremony started so he wouldn't run out. I still think he had to go hunt some down part way through.
