{New Meal of the Week} Amanda's Pasta Casserole

Week #2
Like I said, doesn't always have to be hard, just new to us :) Tonight we made a pretty simple dish.

1 lb. hamburger
8 oz. penne noodles (we used mostaccoli noodles on accident)
1 jar spaghetti sauce
Shredded cheese

Brown hamburger.
Dump in spaghetti sauce and stir.

Boil noodles, throw against cabinet to make sure they are done, then drain.


Pour everything into a casserole dish. Add a few handfuls of shredded cheese in the dish and stir.

Cover with cheese and bake at 350-degrees for about 15-20 minutes (or until cheese is melted).

We ate ours with cheesy garlic bread and a small salad. Tim approved! 

... So did Goose :) He wanted some bad, but did get any.

Things I learned.
1. Probably don't need a full box of pasta noodles :)
2. Amanda's secret ingredient is sugar. I added a small pinch to the sauce.
3. It takes a little longer to make dinner when you have to cook something, before you cook something. We actually missed Aidan's football game. Sorry buddy!
