Whoa, that's a lot of photos!

And I ain't kiddin' :) I put day by day entries here so you could all read about our travels, but here is a link to ALL of our vacation pics. It is a lot easier to look at them on this new site I created. Check them out; they in order of our trip so they should be easy to follow. Enjoy!

Day 11: Monday, August 2

Today we are heading home. Tortola to Puerto Rico. To Chicago. To Kansas City. To Springfield (that leg driving). Our day started at 4 a.m. and we got home about 9:30 p.m. It was a long day, but totally worth the trip!! And we had no airline troubles, which was a miracle.
Perfect way to say goodbye.

Day 10: Sunday, August 1

Lazy day numero dos. We made a yummy breakfast and then drove our route to the airport to make sure we knew how much time to give ourselves the next morning. We were informed we needed to take the mountain road across b/c Tortola was having a massive festival that had a parade going right through Road Town at like 5 a.m. Yes, you read that correctly, 5 a.m. I guess they party all night and go straight into the parade. Good advice neighbor lady, thank you. We came back to the villa and played in the water and I finally started to read my book that I had barely cracked the whole trip. For dinner we went to Pusser's at Soper's Hole Marina. We had a 4 a.m. wake-up call, so we didn't stay up too late on our last night.
Biggest. Hammock. Ever. At Trellis Bay.

Day 9: Saturday, July 31

Today was such a fun, eventful (and slightly alcoholic) day! Joe and Nicolle, who own/operate Patouche Charters, had the day off and ask us to join them on their boat and a day lounging on Jost Van Dyke. Of course we jumped on the opportunity! That was the one place we had wanted to go, but didn't want to fork over the money to get a shuttle over there. So we totally lucked out. We met them in Cane Garden Bay (two bays down from ours) and left our car there and jumped on their boat. They showed us Sandy Spit, this tiny little island with only 1 palm tree. And it is the last piece of land until England, how crazy?!! We then dropped our anchor in White Bay and headed ashore. We ate lunch at the Soggy Dollar Bar and then walked down to One Love for some yummy Bushwackers. The water here was so amazing b/c the sand goes out forever. It is so crystal clear. On the way back to Tortola we stopped by Sandy Key, another small island. When we got back to Cane Garden Bay we stopped in this little place Joe and Nicolle love, called Quitos, for a drink and some dancing...by ourselves. The sun was starting to set and we wanted to get cleaned up for dinner and go to the Jolly Roger b/c they were having a "Drink the Bar Dry" party. It was the last night they would be open for the season and wanted everything to go. Food too! The boys were super excited about their "snaps and shorts" and then they showed the Jolly Roger what real men dance like. Sheesh!

PS Jost Van Dyke (where we went) is the island you can see in every photo taken from our villa.
